At Game…Doerue not dressed…

there was a post made a couple of years ago that said our new weight and strength facility was a total waste of money. Did we have this many injuries before we built that place? Are our athletes any stronger after we built it? I believe purdue needs to take a serious examination of our strength and conditioning program. This is not a 1 game thing. it's an ongoing issue.

"I believe"

It's almost as if there's something to complain about, you'll show up.

Could be a long day
Great that Brohm/staff addressed the lack of any quality depth at the position...while injuries happen, to use it as an excuse in this case/at that position is lame...it is ridiculous to be in the position that they are there...more so in that they are so overmatched as an OL that they can't run the ball effectively anyway.

I don't know but he played cornerback through his whole high school years.

Hopefully now it more of a waiting game when coaches think when he ready to step up on a big stage in front of thousands to help his teammates.
I’d just keep in mind when reading this board that people are honest about what they see. If my family member played here I probably wouldn’t read this

"honest"

Not sure that I'd call some of the nonsense I see "honest". Emotional, knee-jerk, ill-informed, absolutely. (Throw in "spiteful" for good measure.)

I’ve tried to be better about ripping players have I not? I try to rephrase things so that at least it’s more clinical …

and at the end of the day, nobody here knows.. jim mora told us that right

a year ago I would have ripped plummer bad. But old age is catching up so I thought my comments were fairly innocuous

All I'm saying he the next man up after Cross and unless he get jump over.He been fighting a hamstring injury that kept him out of both camps this summer and never got a chance to show what he can do. But to see him back in his natural habitat warming up in a Purdue football uniform was a big step in the right directions for him waiting to get that green light now.

He’s got good speed for the position right? Not cross level speed but also bigger than cross..

Maybe post covid complications? Usually if it's an injury of some sort Brohm gives an indication. So I wanna say it's not injury related.

Agree, we are all guilty of being knuckleheads and should be taken with a grain of salt so to speak.
Best if family and players don't read too much into this stuff, and not get into petty spats like another Mom did on the basketball forum (I stayed out of that fray).

That said, if Mockabee is close to ready, get him a few carries. Secure the ball and go. With our OL not getting much push, we need a player to break a tackle or two. Experience now can pay dividends later.

You're good. And, yes, I think your posts have been more .... "mature".

I really wasn't posting with you in mind... nor anyone else, for that matter.

Just a general observation.

😉

If I had a kid playing here I wish someone would come to me and say “guys on the net are saying that he played bad”.. I’d be like “yeah, he gets all the glory when he plays good. If he cries when he plays bad and people say so, then the flip side of that is, if he gets future nfl accolades he needs to turn those down and say ‘no thank you. I can’t handle accounts of how I play.”

“you guys think I’m a baller? I can’t handle what people think so I’m not a baller.”

I think it should be better this year. I’ll be honest im not satisfied with Williams. It’s not that he’s the worst ever, I just think Purdue can do much better. When you look at the guys brohm brought in I think you see that.

as far as the team I’d have a hard time complaining much if we went 3-9 even. Im proud to root for this team. It’s a group with high ability who really gives Mac effort … if they don’t do so well it will probably be because you just can’t lose so many OL to retirement in a group that takes so much time to get right.

and then brohm will know he has the same kinda job with the OL this summer as the D last summer

Don't get me wrong I like all our RBs each bring a different style to the game.If you look at their video you can tell what plays were their strong points during game play. That made them for who they are to getting to the next level. So Purdue may need to design certain plays around their RBs strong points for the running game.

Yes and yes and as for Mockobee he also brings vision, balance, and other stuff that make for a good RB.
It all about getting through that 2nd level quick and vision is that key.

No Hesitation behind that OL line as the hole need to be hit quick while blocking is happen for those few sec.

If doerue is out and we are in a good place against Minnesota it would be great to see him get in there
