Sharing some quick notes from this evening’s spring practice.

Some of the 2024 targets in attendance:

Three-star ATH Jo’Ziah Edmond
Three-star DB Austin Alexander
Four-star OL Marques Easley
Three-star DL Joe Barna

There may not be a change of position for Marcus Mbow after all…

Purdue was running a drill where five offensive linemen lined up while a defensive lineman had a one-on-one matchup with one of the offensive lineman. (Drill is hard to explain in words, my apologies)

The five offensive line during that drill were LT Mahamane Moussa, LG Jalen Grant, C Josh Kaltenberger, RG Marcus Mbow and RT Eric Miller.

We talk to OC Graham Harrell on Thursday, so we’ll get clarification then.

Freshman Jamarrion Harkless made his spring practice debut today, joining Brick Haley’s DL group.

Only four tight ends participated in the open period of practice today, (Max Klare, Ben Buechel, Ben Futney, Paul Piferi) while Garrett Miller, Drew Biber and Charlie Kenrich did not appear.

After missing last week following what appeared to be an injury during the first week of practice, Sulaiman Kpaka was back on the field today.

Redshirt freshman WR Curtis Deville Jr. was seen with a red pinnie over his practice jersey. He was going through drills, so the pinnie likely marks him as a non-contact player. He was sporting a sling on Saturday and did not partake in the scrimmage.

Fellow wide receiver Andrew Sowinski was not wearing pads, but was sitting off to the side.

Defensive back Anthony Brown was not present for practice as well.
