Of course, if Appleby just does well, then he is the QB and that's that and maybe, just maybe we know our starter for next season too. But I think that we will see Blough at times or in games where Appleby struggles. This is becoming less and less unusual as the old adage that if you have two QBS you have none is waning.
Blough has mobility that Appleby does not have to the same degree and if Appleby is unable to move the team at any time, no one should be surprised if DB runs the show at times. I am not predicting nor want another crash and burn by a Purdue QB so that a replacement is shuttled in, but, of course, should that unfortunate situation occur you do what you have to. Without wishing AA ill, if he falters and DB takes over successfully no one will care.
