Played IMG yesterday on espn. I recorded it, but have yet to watch. I know DGL did not start as he is just a junior, and their team is crazy loaded. Anyone have any insight into how he played or how much?

Jalen Hood-Schfino should fit right in at IU. 0-4 from 3 and 1-4 from the FT line
:)
Check recent history for the college production from Montverde's leader and best player. Cade Cunningham, Scottie Barnes from two years ago. Ryan Nembhard from last year.

Pretty sure JHS will be just fine. He's Montverde's leader and best player.

Honestly I’ve watched that kid Schifino play a couple times and liked what I seen. Seems like he plays good defense and he’s a really unselfish player. As a Purdue fan he’s the type of kid I think Painter would love to have. JMO
Woodson seems to be getting some good guards to go to IU. They are gonna probably have to hit the transfer portal hard to get some BIGs.

Not really sure what the production of those players has to do with another player, but ok.

The college and NBA production from Montverde (and IMG's) lead guard has been extraordinarily good.

BTW, If Gibbs-Lawhorn is in that position next year, that's a very good sign. Hell, the fact that Montverde took him is a very good sign.

Pretty sure there are always Shaqs and Olajuwons in the portal, just waiting to be snapped up.

Oh I agree, good luck to them. Just saying they don’t seem to be getting much traction with good bigs from the HS ranks. Probably gonna need to hope a good BIG hits the portal and they can land him.

There are Oscar Tshiebwes, and there are Michael Durrs.

This year, IU could get away with a Michael Durr. The op is absolutely correct -- next year IU is going to need a high-level portal transfer (or a top tier de-commit from a program where the coach leaves).

I understand that, but Montverde isn't the B1G and just because Cade Cunningham was the #1 pick (or #2?, can't remember) doesn't have any bearing on how good JHS will be in college.

Completely agree, but there is a general correlation. Let’s put it this way; if Gibbs Lawhirn is a success as the lead guard at Montverde next year, you guys will and should be very optimistic and confident about his ability to be an immediate impact player at Purdue.

Maybe it's just me, but I am now 100% wait and see on almost all freshman. There are enough highly rated HS seniors that aren't very good as freshman (Kristian Lander, Tamar Bates) that I expect little out of them until year 2.
