Game to watch tonight is Washington-Colorado.
B1G needs Colorado to win if it wants to have 2 teams in the playoffs. Remember, the payoff for Purdue gets bigger the more teams play in bigger bowl games. Since the CFP pays the most, Purdue gets a bigger slice if OSU and Michigan/PSU/Whisky get in!
In no way should Purdue be rewarded for what this football program has given us for the past several years. Morgan should have to return his salary if your looking to get some money for being inept.
So you are saying Purdue should give back the agreed terms of shared bowl revenue that helps all schools strengthen their programs and athletic departments, in general? In 2014-2015, that total was roughly $4.5 million for each school. I appreciate that Purdue runs a clean program but signing a check back to be holier than thou because we are bad is just ridiculous. I know you are probably joking but the drivel like that comment is getting really boring at this point in time.
I have been a fan and former supporter for over 40+ years. I am more than tired of this inept administration and football product we have been given. I remember a long time ago where Purdue supporters were calling for IU and Northwestern to drop out of the Big 10. Well maybe Purdue either get it together in football or get out. This coaching hire so far is looking like more of the same so far. They had better get a great recruiter and great coordinators or their will be a lot more pain for the fans.
How much money are we talking? CFP payout is $6M per team to the conference. Split 14 ways that's $428k. Big 6 bowl payout is $4M per team. Split 14 ways that's $286k. So, Purdue has something like $140k hanging in the balance. Ok, go Buffs I guess.

So give back money that could go toward making things better? That makes zero sense. Coaching Hire looking like much of the same? Good lord research is a powerful thing.
That is a decent bump to recruiting budgets or hiring one or two special assistants if the new coach would like to have that (similar to Sark at Alabama).
All that money spent for the past several seasons has really paid off. How much has Purdue spent in the past four years per Big 10 victory?
That's not even remotely the point. The past 4-8 years have sucked, but to say something as stupid as we don't deserve B10 money makes zero sense. That money can be used to improve the future despite what's happened. There's a big difference in being dissapointed (we all are) and saying ridiculous things.
Do you work for the government? The government is real good at spending money for little or no results.

In our conference it' s always about the rich getting richer. Case in point, the other day the Terps got poached by osu for a 4 star and also got a decommit from their top rated recruit a 5 star DE who is most likely going to psu.
