Anyone else think...

It always seems players find extra motivation to play in front of a familiar crowd. That thought occurred to me to, even though he has no apparent animosity towards Michigan. The thing working against him, is that there will be five guys on the court that want to ensure he is unable to do that.

Revenge for what?
Spike never had any animosity, but with all the injuries, Belien was not going to keep Spike on scholarship for another year.

Recent interview from Detroit Free Press:
Albrecht said. “I definitely felt like I let some guys down, being a senior and not being able to contribute. Then, we had to split ways. They had guys coming in. They had to do what they were going to do. You gotta do what’s best for your program. When Purdue came calling, I knew it was going to be a great fit. It’s been great so far.”

So did Purdue contact him first?
 
Didn't Belein try to prevent him from going to Purdue? My memory is that he did but dropped it because of negative publicity?????
