I would disagree with some of this. No comment on his appearance as that is irrelevant. That screen was not a cheap shot. He was set and did not lift elbows and forearms. Just a good hard screen from a guy who is probably 70 lbs bigger. There is no better sound in hoops than that of the air rushing out of your opponents chest and the sack of potatoes like thud when his limp body hits the floor. If your team doesn't like it they should call out the screen. Krabenhoft at Wisky a few years back was a cheap shot.
I don't dislike Costello, but I do think his antics are dumb. I do however, dislike that he gets away with a lot of fouls, but that's the ref's fault not his.
He's a little over the top, but he's really turned into a solid player. Has worked hard and really cares. I'd take him on Purdue.
Not a fan mainly because he argues just about every call with the ref in a fairly disrespectful way but never seems to get a T. Have to respect his development as a player though.
LOL and look who is reffing...Jim Burr. That guy makes me physically ill.
I didn't like it, but as others have said, it was a fair play. I thought the fact that a Purdue player didn't warn PJ was more of a cheap shot.
Does anyone have a snip it of that pick set by Costello? I thought at first his arm came up, but I never saw the replay. If you all are saying it was legit..........then I have no problem with it. I know you mofos wouldn't lie LOL!
These same threads happened about Brian Cardinal on other team's boards
He's annoying, but so was Brian Cardinal to the rest of the league I'm sure.
Plus, Costello obviously cares a lot more about winning than AJ does, because he yells a lot and has that "really intense" game face on all the time.
