Any Update on Ray for New Mexico??

Haven't seen anything either. I'm sure it will be all over twitter as soon as they are ready to say something.

The paper today said it is a "day to day situation". He can run straight no problem, but the lateral movements are still a concern. If he isn't comfortable yet, he will not play. I want him healthy in Feb and March, and hope he doesn't rush it.

Painter said the exact same thing about his running a few days ago, so based on that, I would expect Ray to sit this one out.

I am in total agreement with that. Knee injuries suck and Ray does not need to rush it.

The MCL injury seems to be a 2-4 week injury for NFL players. I would think a basketball player would need at least that much time to return with confidence. I'm hoping he is back for Butler and Vandy

Heard that as well, along with CMP thinking he wasn't in a position to "trust it" when cutting yet. I don't expect Ray Davis to play this next week......would think the following week is a better possibility. For a legitimate ligament sprain, usually it's a minimum of two weeks. All cases are different depending upon the severity.....sounds like Ray is coming along and will get healthy, but I also won't be surprised if he ends up missing a month of action either.

Of course, CMP basically distills it down to "If he's ready to go......he'll go."
