Thought it would have been answered yesterday. Going from Big Ten player of the week to questionable after the game is interesting to say the least.
He must of taken quite the hit on his last run.
I still think that the 2nd defender coming in hit Eli's right hand w/ his helmet. Prolly won't find out till later in the week because Brohm isn't going to say to keep Paterson guessing. He must of taken quite the hit on his last run.
I don’t understand the called QB run at that point in the game. Even if he had not suffered a concussion, there is always the possibility his knees could have been hit.Under 5 minutes left in the game, up 18, he shouldn’t have even been on the field, much less running around with the ball.
Big guys and knee injuries is always a bad combination. Being ruled out this early in the week without hesitation, I wonder what the odds are we see him suit up at all this season.I don’t understand the called QB run at that point in the game. During the press conference, they said Fuller is not close to coming back. There is a concern with McCann, which is bad, since he is our most experienced OL. Neal is a no again. I am sure the answer to this question is a no, but do you think Neal would possibly come back next year, if he was only able to play 3 to 4 games this year? Obviously his draft stock is going to be lower this year due to knee injury questions.
You never know. It could be by design to get a full 2 more weeks of treatment and prep with the bye week in there.Big guys and knee injuries is always a bad combination. Being ruled out this early in the week without hesitation, I wonder what the odds are we see him suit up at all this season.
up by 18 late in the game. a QB with a long injury history runs with the ball. ends up with a concussion. Not smart football.
Did you see the Nevada game???!!!??? They scored 10 points in a minute. How safe do you think the coaches felt with an 18 point lead?!? I sweat that one out until the clock hit zero.
You have to keep the clock running at that point. Run game had tried everything with little success up to that point. Tried a short pass last week to kill the clock and pass was intercepted.
Sindelar probably should have slid.
In that case isn’t Plummer a better running option?Did you see the Nevada game???!!!??? They scored 10 points in a minute. How safe do you think the coaches felt with an 18 point lead?!? I sweat that one out until the clock hit zero.

I understand being aggressive but when your QB has been a paper Tiger health wise and depth is an issue, come on...... When T. Fuller was hurt the spin was "Hey no biggie, running back was going to be by committee any way.......Boy, the running back committee sure has gotten mighty small and the QB Committee is even smaller........
If Plummer plays really well, Sindelar may not get back on the field again. If Plummer plays at least he will get valuable experience for the future.

It's happened before as there are no big NFL contracts to satisfy. That's a VERY big if on both accounts...
Not a Knock on ES at all... Just a fact that since his Sr. year in H.S. the guy is prone to get hurt so why are we taking chances with his health???Not real accurate to call a guy who played multiple games with an ACL injury a "paper tiger". Yes, he sat out most of last year but there was no reason to hurry him back given how Blough was playing.
