Well another decommit, linebacker going to Illinois. I cannot believe Coach is still here and the rumor is he is staying. How bad does it need to get to do something?

Are the people, who make the coaching decisions, in denial of what is going on , or in Fantasy Land and think everything will get better next year with same coach. I wish the AD would say one way or the other
They too think it only takes money to fix things.

Which is partially true but when your coach and staff are this inept there’s no amount of money that could save us.

It’s not about how bad Walters is …. It’s about Bobo retiring and letting the next AD bring his own guy in. The question we need answered is who is replacing Bobo.

And already losing freshman tight end Tayvion Galloway to the portal. On the bright side, maybe this means Klare stays, but I doubt it. This coach has to be fired, or we're going to be a team full of walk-on level players who couldn't get an offer elsewhere.

No way Klare stays. He’s worth way more to a real program than he is to us for next season.

At this point, Purdue's only hope is to bring in someone who really knows how to work the portal.

Stick with this staff, and we're probably looking at a roster full of high-major burnouts and mid-major guys who just want a shot in a P4 program.

Bobinski is under contract, from understanding, until next year, so I really don’t see Walters being let go until then. Honestly, he doesn’t seem to care. Otherwise, why would he not at least addressed this in the media before now.

We will be playing catch up for minimum 3 to 4 years with other football programs, if we are lucky.

I bet we are the homecoming away team for 4 to 5 conference games next year.

Bobo signed an extension in 2023 that expires in 2028. He has plenty of time under contract to clean up this crap show that he and his assistants created. But I’m with you, does he really care that much? His boss refers to him as, “America’s best AD.” Very doubtful he’s under any pressure from the higher ups. I guess we’ll find out by Monday whether he gives a damn or not.

Wow, I completely missed that. Bobinski could set this football program back many years into the 2030s then.

I hope Painter has no desire to retire for several years or the basketball program will become the football program overnight with Bobinski in charge.

They’d probably hire that guy who just tanked Louisville basketball for 4 years since he’s so good at it!

Good.......
Just curious why would losing a 4 star LB Be because of good news? If Walters is fired, wouldn’t a new coach want to have a 4 star linebacker?

Hazell was a terrible coach and a terrible recruiter. But at least when he arrived, he was able to retain all of Hope’s recruits except for 1-2 that had already decided to leave before Hazell was hired.

Berrman was the lone recruit I expected to remain loyal to Purdue and stay regardless of who the coach would be. And as I look at the recruiting landscape, 4 star linebackers are very hard to find, sort of as rare as 4 offensive linemen.

I would love to know what this good news about losing our best recruits is!
