Wow!!!

Have a look lol
This fan is obviously a moron, but I think overall the majority of the Northwestern fans are great from my interactions with them. The majority of IU fans are a different story though.

Have a look lol
My favorite post in that thread was this:

"Purdue has a brutal guantlet of games before we play them. Hopefully this will be game where we wrap up the West. 😎"

When you're 1-2 in the B1G with your only win against Rutgers and already think you're gonna "wrap up the West", you might be a bit delusional...

Anyone else here going to that game? Gonna feel weird as a life-long Cub fan to attend a Purdue football game at Wrigley Field.

Stubhub has anything with a side view of the field at $200+.. no thanks lol. I’ll just watch on tv
I was surprised tickets were $100 face value in the first place, but I guess they know they can get it. No idea yet where the seats will be.

I checked into it... wasn't willing to spend that much. The tickets aren't too bad until the agencies add on all their fees.

Tickets for that game are off the rails. Just checked StubHub:

Minnesota @ Northwestern = tickets starting at $6
Iowa @ Northwestern = tickets starting at $44
Wisconsin @ Purdue = tickets starting at $37
MSU @ Purdue = tickets starting at $27
Purdue / Northwestern @ Wrigley = tickets starting at $75

Is the venue THAT MUCH of a draw?

Two thing about the $75:
The real cost will be about 2x that.
seat location will stink.

A buddy of mine suggested we go to the game. He's not a NW or PU fan, but just thought it would be fun to go to a game there. He changed his mind once he saw the prices.

I kind of see their point. I'll admit, if the Iowa game was the only time I'd seen Iowa and Purdue play, I would see Purdue being ranked. Unfortunately, I think Iowa was a bit over-ranked (as even most of their own fans admitted), and Purdue just played a great game and caught them with their pants down a bit. Now, should the boys take out Wisconsin, I will admit I'm wrong, and they deserve to be ranked. It's not that Wisconsin is great, but it would show consistency and I believe a nice 'bonus' would be deserved for ending a ridiculously long losing streak. :)

You can lose to Wisconsin and still be a ways better than northwestern

Yeah that's what I don't get. Northwestern and Purdue fans both have better options in terms of price and opponent. Are there that many folks in Chicago with nothing better to do. Or are there literally 30k fans between the two schools that can't miss a single game regardless of the price tag?

Dude that’s just insane.. $75 for terrible seats? What does it cost to watch games between the 20s at Purdue, even if it’s up a ways? $40? $50?

Sideline seats for the Wrigley game are going to run you $150+. Or $125+ for far away bleachers. Plus their terrible parking situation.

Here are the individual Ross Ade game tickets breakdown:

No. I personally think it’s an overrated dump.

What happened to those Knot Hole tickets I used to get in the 70’s? 🤣

I don't view playing at Wrigley Field a draw at all. Actually just the opposite. Unless you live in Chicago, getting in and out of events at Wrigley are just a hassle and the actual venue is a dump. I wonder if Purdue had to agree to play there. I think I'd have declined.

I get going there for a Cubs game but comiskey is my crowd. Wrigley might be a draw for me if I’d never been. Having been.. it’s fine …

Smug northwestern fans talking about how bad their right tackle is … which is exactly what you want if you’re gonna beat a not very good Purdue team.. a right tackle herring owned by a player that nobody considers on the same level as karlaftis
