....both the football and basketball teams. Something is needed to get fans attention....to give them a reason to go to the games or watch on TV.

The cheerleaders. Our cheerleaders are very attractive and very good at what they do. But they might, once in a while, need a change in outfits. Just like how the football team altered the colors of their uniforms to fit a cause, so can the cheerleaders. I think that once in a while, maybe during big games (home or away), that the cheerleaders could use an outfit identical to those used by the Southern Cal cheerleaders. A white mini skirt with a long sleave top. The trim would be in Purdue colors and "Purdue" sown on the front.

I think this would get a lot of attention. They would the the talk of the B1G quickly. This might help get those stands at Ross Ade filled up. Just a thought on this Tuesday night.

THIS

is how far Purdue has dropped. We're now discussing cheerleader outfits. Thanks Morgan.

Hahahahaha.

Good idea but hahahahahaha.

Purdue needs to be innovative for fan experience

any guy who says he doesn't like to see nice looking cheerleaders at ballgames is lying, it does add to the atmosphere of the game

While we're on the subject of Cheer Leading, who decides what cheers they do? I think we have some of the lamest cheers around and I don't think they have changed in years. My most dreaded cheer comes when they divide on both sides of the field and are suppose to "excite" the crowd into yelling "GO" while the other half yell "Boilers". I see it as very low energy and the crowd does not get into it. Soooooooo why is it continued year after year after losing year?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!They did that back in the early 80's when I was there!!!!Thank god we were all to drunk to notice.....

Just put in poles on the sidelines and give the fans a stack of singles when they come in the gate. If the cheerleaders split the proceeds with the Athletic Dept we might actually show a positive trend in income.

I'm sure you do but sadly it's not even close to the worst things that get posted on here all the time.

Most of the cheers are pretty tired.

I think a lot of that is obviously the product on the field the last decade, but even when we were good Purdue fans dont really cheer that much.

Ive always really liked home games because Purdue fans stick together a little more and generally act excited. Even seeing the opposing teams fan base generally wearing team colors and acting exciting is more condusive to an exciting atmosphere than some indiana jag off wearing a blue shirt, green hat, and only clearly a purdue fan by how much noise he makes when they do something bad.
