Allen Daniels DT Commits

This is nice to see. Everyone here keeps saying Purdue needs to sign d-line and linebackers. Figured it was only a matter of time.

I'm going to stop complaining. he's not the 5 star I hoped for. he has decent size , and some other power 5 colleges liked him

With the caveats that we don't know the level of the competition, and it is afterall a "highlights" video, he seems able to fire out and easily overpower his opponents on the way to sack after sack. Could be a pleasant surprise.

This is totally laughable. You really expected Brohm to come in and start signing 5 star players in the 2 months he would be on the job before signing day? If that's the case, you must be standing outside in Alaska wishing for sunshine and 80 degree temperatures right now and getting pissed that it is cloudy and 32.

32 in Alaska in late January? I'll take it. Just like I would take Daniels as he looks like has size, power and quickness.

My expectations are a lot higher than most on this board. And I'm willing to admit that. And I'm old and tired of mediocrity and will probably die before Purdue ever has a 9 win season and a significant Bowl game appearance. I watched a favored Purdue team lose in the Outback Bowl. To be truthful, I am greedy. I want something more than just a return to the Outback bowl. And unlike many here, I don't believe my expectations are unrealistic. I never said I expected a Brohm to bring in a bunch of 5 star athletes. It would be nice if he landed a couple of 4 * star players and stopped recruiting 2* star players.

As for write-ups, I've never seen a negative one written about a 2* player or a highlight film show a player's faults or his worst moments. Since my knowledge is limited, and I'm not going to watch every high school player play football, I lean towards the rankings assigned by national scouts and not just fans who rave about a guy after seeing highlight films. If a scout says the guy is a 2* player, I believe the scout's word over a fans word. And hose rankings have been pretty accurate over the past decade.

I'm realistic about how great of a player Purdue can attract. But I believe, we should be able to out recruit every MAC and Conf USA team, and we should be able to out recruit IU, U of I, Minn and Northwestern. And when we don't, I become concerned and tired of waiting. I'm tired of being told wait till next year. I want to win now.

I don't expect to be as great as OSU, but we should be on par with Iowa, and I'm depressed we're not.

amazing how a few people have everything all sorted out and what kind of team Purdue will be the next 50 years. Brohm isn't some dummy in his first rodeo. How do you know why he recruited some of the guys he did? Some know talent, beyond what the experts say about a player. I am hyped up for the season, I know Purdue won't be in the top 20 , but hey the guy is our coach, hasn't been here very long and is doing what he can this year. Everyone has ideas about what Purdue should be doing but give the guy some time.

Coach Brohm is supposed to talk about the recruits and other things tomorrow at 6:30, I have a couple friends who are going, would be a good time to ask questions .

I talked to friends who are going , he said it starts at 6 , I guess they have a little food, then coach talks later, from what I gather it's for JPC members. It's also supposed to be live on Facebook. Not sure where its being held at, probably alot will be there . Sorry I am not much help on this.
