All too familiar a feeling being at work in March and feeling disappointed about Purdue basketball.

Oh good Lord. It was a bad game but seriously, stay away from the ledge. This team has performed very well for the most part all season long.

Some of you give up entirely too easily.

YAWN.....figured out how to beat Purdue...put the word TOURNAMENT next to the word game....

the more things change, the more they stay the same...

Well since we won two games in the BTT last year, I'd say that was the last time Purdue won on a weekday during the day...

Not to mention it totally ruined my plans for the weekend. The bad taste likely ruins watching the great bball that will be on tomorrow and Sunday. I'll just stay away from the boards and basketball this weekend and take up the football board for some discussion.

It's hard being a Boiler basketball fan and losses like this don't make it any easier...

and don't give me the 'we've had a good season all year long' crap. As a fan, I want to see success when Purdue is supposed to have success.

We have played like shit for the past month. It was only hidden because everyone else we played are also shit. Here comes another game 1 loss for the painter crew.

I personally don't think we've played well since starting Cline. I like Cline, but he's very one-dimensional. In the tournament, you need guys that will push the pace, draw fouls, and get to the basket. We have none, other than VE occasionally. Also, why Painter took away the one advantage we had is beyond me. Haas had a good game, and was damn near scoring at will. Their bigs are in foul trouble, keep pounding the ball if he's playing well, why change it?

Hey all of you "but in the regular season" optimists, here's a fact. Whether its golf, poker, pool or basketball . . . PRESSURE CHANGES EVERYTHING! I see guys on the golf course knock down 15 foot puts like popcorn but when the game is on the line and they're standing over a 3 footer on 18 . . . FUGGEDABOUDIT!!! Painter is one of those guys. Swanigan is not concentrating on winning the Purdue game he is playing in, he is thinking about not getting hurt before the big NBA payday. The other kids would make a nice Intramural Squad at an ACC School.

Totally agree. Haas was practically unstoppable and shooting an amazing FG% yet he wasn't in the game....Just didn't understand that.

Honestly Painter will always be a regular season coach. We just have to accept that.
