They had so many 3 and out's especially in the second half that they ruined their chances to put it away. 10 points in the second half is not going to get it done. AA had probably his worse game that I have seen him play in a long time which is so frustrating because of all the repetitions in camp and to be that off is just disappointing. This Marshal team is not as good as the one last year and I thought they controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides as example of (10) 3 and outs in the second half. Very conservative play calling on our behalf and lack of creativity necessary given the lack of talent we have at Purdue. I just think our coaching staff is middle of the road coaches and we are not going to get over the hump with these guys. The game was competitive and we can't take that away from the guys but they did not have the ability to close and looked tired at the end. I know this board will say we left our heart on the field and they gave it all they had or it is a tough place to win and they played hard. Most of that is true but simply put not enough improvement from last year to be optimistic about this year!
