All American Bowl

Two guaranteed boilers listed, with a good chance at 3 come the conclusion of the game.

Not sure Purdue will ever top that

I knew that George and David will be there, but I have to admit that I was a little surprised that Kyle Bilodeau will be there as well. Maybe that's because he is ranked as a "mere" 3*, and 5.6. But at 6'6", and 240#, he definitely is a big guy. I wonder if his ranking might go up sometime, soon.

24/7 has him as the 10th best right end and just outside their top 247 at 256.

Have him rated as a 4 star

If it doesn't, I am fine with that. He will be a very good player for us.

Hey, if Moore can listed as the 100th best receiver in that senior class, I will take a lot more high 3 star players. The video below is about Wandale Robinson, which would have been a great pickup for us, but I like at the beginning of the video on how the Rivals guys talk about how wrong they were in the rating of Rondale.

Yeah, it's Rivals that has him as a 3*. I didn't mean to mislead anyone.

I wasn’t trying to imply you were trying mislead, just that he was viewed as a much better prospect by another recruiting service.

I hope he does get a ratings bump when Rivals does their January re-evaluations

You aren’t going to find many other TE’s that measure out like KB. He scored in the 99% in terms of the Nike measurables. There is a damn good chance he plays next season because he is a matchup nightmare. Look to have Moore motion away from him to get him lined up against a DB to bully them or get a LB to try and cover him in space.

Watch his highlight tapes too. There isn’t a hole in his game. Quick. Superb hands. Fantastic route running. Size enough to block at this level.

Everything about them screams NFL potential. We were very lucky he wasn’t rated higher as it kept him under the radar a bit.

That video is awesome. IU thought they had a chance because he took an official visit there but nope.

Sindelar (or whoever is the starting QB) is going to have a plethora of weapons next year. Just need the OL to be serviceable and Purdue has a chance to be the best offense in the country. Not saying they will be, but they will certainly have the potential to score a ton of points.

Conversely, I think the defense will take a big step up with at least 3 true freshmen in the mix to contribute in a big way. Grant and GK are the obvious ones, but Graham, Beverly, Allen, and Faucheux would be ones to watch as contributors.

Saunder’s and Hunter will likely be big time contributors year 2 after a redshirt year to get bigger, stronger, faster. I am guessing at least 2 of the DBs will red shirt as well, but it is entirely too soon to guess which ones. Normally, I would say only Grant would be contributing next year, but DB has a ton of questions and was easily the weakest position outside of a healthy JT (senior who is gone and his brother BT suffered what sounds like a bad leg injury to end the year) and Majors (who was very impressive, and imagine him with a passrush to help him out!) DT is not a position where I would expect a true freshman to contribute, but there will be a lot of questions about the DT position. It was so thin this year that when Neal went out, the solution was Gio. If Neal can get back early, it’s likely Neal and Watts, with a mix of Johnson and Marks. Just remains to see how Faucheux shows in camp.

Overall, the talent and depth will take a big step up. The problem is, they get a lot younger with a lot of unknowns. It will be nice to have some weapons like KB, Bell, King, and Wright to help out Moore and the QB. This year’s camps will be a blast. A lot of position battles to watch and a ton of young potential.

Sounding like the spring game will be a must see.

It will be a great event no doubt. I plan on being there. However, most freshman will not be on campus until this Summer as mentioned in a prior post. Fall camp and Fan Day in August will be the must see.

We just got another crystal ball on 247sports this afternoon for David Bell. Like what David retweeted today. I would say a good sign.

I lime that the incoming class will allow Rondale to get a breather without making our offense less than pedestrian.
