Been very quiet on AJ this week. Unless I missed something, I assume he's still attempting to "take care of his business"? Would be nice to have him back, or maybe another statement about his current status.

Weather he plays tonight or not, AJH looks to be [if he gets everything together in time] the favorite for team MVP. I know NC A&T isn't Duke, & I hope everything gets squared away for AJ a. s. a. p., but seeing how AJ is probably our # 1 weapon, [& he'll be gone next year] & our strength is in the paint, it makes me wonder just a little, how we could do/play, if he [for whatever reason] was unavailable. Hopefully, that senario won't come about until next season, but it still makes one wonder? How dependent are we on AJ against a NC A & T, probably not much, but against a Vanderbuilt, Clemson, Wisconsin, Iowa or Butler, probably quite a bit. Here's hoping everything gets worked out in due time, for everyone. There are more important things in life than basketball, but when you're young, energetic & ready for somthing more, sometimes it's hard to see the little things mean alot in trying times. The little things add up.

Go Boilers!!!

Just back from the game, and thought I'd add some circumstantial observations from seats behind the bench. Despite not playing, AJ was engaged the entire game. He was dressed and warmed up with the team. He cheered and fist-bumped his teammates all evening. He consulted and chatted with assistant coaches and teammates the entire game. And at one point late in the second half, he was joking around and laughing one-on-one with CMP.

He didn't look upset, mad, frustrated, down, or unhappy. He's clearly still very big presence (no pun intended) on the team. And there was no evidence that relations with CMP or the other coaches were strained.

So maybe I'm seeing what I want to see, but I left with the impression that there's nothing major going on here. AJ may miss a game or two, but I saw nothing to suggest that we should be losing any sleep over this.

I was also at the game, and agree 100% with this post by 312. My guess is AJ missed some classes or some other really minor infraction, but is paying his penance nonetheless.

Agree. It's easy to read more in to things than there is and whatever happened was minor at best.
It's a concern but I tell myself to be calm and not drink the paycheck away....I'll stop at 3 or 4....................

...........or 5.

and just before the huddle to start the game he rubbed Brantley's head...for good luck maybe... :)

I expect nothing less good sir! Booze is the best coping mechanism. It makes the football program tolerable :)
Yes it does except the football team equals pass-out mode. At least when I wake up my first thought is that it was a bad drunk dream..then I find out it is real rrrr.
