AD Interview?

When will B.U. media and/or local sports media request a recorded, in-person interview or press conference with our Athletic Director? Off the top of my head, our Football program would be a good topic….

My guess is there have probably already been requests. If I were Bobinski I wouldn't grant one right now. He's pretty much obligated to do one at some point after the season but he's probably not anxious to schedule one in the middle of a season like this. There's nothing he can say to appease fans anyway.

From his standpoint, what’s he going to say? We suck! Does he have a fix? No. You can’t just go hitting and firing people every other year . Purdue doesn’t have alumni with $10 million in their pocket who will say, here, get a new coach.

And as an academics oriented guy, if somebody had $10 million in their pocket to give away, I’d rather they spent it on huricane relief than buying out a football coach!

I truly appreciate your perspective. We can do both. One of the top 10-15 public universities in the USA. The $$ is there.

If he's not ready to fire anyone then there's nothing useful to say right now. If he is thinking about it, he's not going to say anything until he's made that decision and communicated that to the staff. At which point, the firing would speak for itself, and all he would be able to say is where are going to conduct a search.

How do you know what Purdue fans have or don't have to commit to the football program?

And yes, you can fire people when it's the right thing to do. iu basketball does it all the time.....

The answer is never. They would get black balled if they tried nailing down the leadership in an attacking interview. Besides they can’t tell the fans anything about what is going on behind the scenes or even if anything is going on.
