Neither would probably want to take the pay cut, but they are both Boiler Alumni.
They are both Sports Agents and obviously know how to evaluate talent. They also probably know every College Football and College Basketball coach in the country. It would certainly help get a get a quality football coach to Purdue. If they have relationships with the coaches, selling Purdue would be easier since the new coach would know his boss already. Just a thought. Parker is 58 and Barnes is 57.
Maybe they want a new challenge before they retire.

Might be good for Football/Basketball but as running a department as a whole, I am not sure. Also they are not nor have been a Morgan underling... Purdue Athletics has to be a monarchy where we pass it to one of our own...

Parker is an attorney and understands good and bad contracts and how to negotiate. Maybe instead of giving the keys to the castle, we could negotiate performance contracts?? Woodson is on the AD search committee and was Parker's client.

Very unlikely to happen, but I think it could be a great hire.
