Lorenzo Neal and Mike Alstott are probably the two pre-eminent NFL fullbacks of their generation and now Purdue has recruited their respective sons in each of the past two classes, Lorenzo Jr. for 2016 and now committed Griffin for 2017.
Beyond that, Purdue also signed the son a few years ago of Keith Byars, who was also an outstanding, long-time NFL fullback back when the fullback was a bit of a bigger deal, back in the Daryl Johnston/Tom Rathman days.
