I thought a team could be 6-6 and go to a bowl, even 5-7 possibly.

Why is it the road to a bowl with 7 wins on the Gold and Black report?

looking at the BIG 10, based on their non-conference wins, we could easily have 10 teams this year that qualify for a bowl game. We don't have that many tie-ins.

maybe he's suggesting that this year, to be assured of a Bowl bid invitation, we need to win 7 games. look at IU. because of their canceled game, they could finish 6-5. I still expect even Nebraska to find a way to win 6 games. So to beat out an IU or Nebraska for a Bowl bid, we need to go 7-5?

that's just a guess.

may I now ask..... WHY ?

Why what?

Why add a game when they had to cancel FIU?
Why Charleston Southern?
Why does IU suck so much?

Pretty simple when you think about it.

IU lost a home game weekend and the revenue that goes with it.
Add Charleston Southern because it is a win and Charleston Southern had an opening in their schedule that coincided with the opening in IU's schedule.
They suck because it a simple law of nature like gravity.
