The WCC is better this year, but if they go through it with any more than 1 loss, I'd be shocked. Just give them the #1 overall now. After that it's pretty murky.
It's fun to see some of these teams finally have to play decent games. Looks like all teams have weaknesses like Purdue.
No question. We're going to be fine. Just keep getting better on the defensive end.
Gonzaga has a couple games in a row where they scored a ton of points. Baylor looks like they are gonna lose twice. Ucla lost, USC lost. We might get back to the top 5.
Yep. Purdue needs to get it together defensively. All teams have looked poor at times and everyone is beatable. All comes down to who is hot in March and April, who Covid doesn’t bite, etc.

Big12 is an interesting league. TT lost to unranked Kansas St today by 9. Oklahoma St is not exactly world beaters this year. Baylor only had 22 at the half. They looked pretty bad offensively at times.
I know our D has been shaky at times. I would rather have a high ceiling on offense than the other way around. I think it’s easier to generate defense or turn the switch on that side of the court. I don’t know how you all of a sudden become an explosive offense.
Ideally…. You dominate on both sides. It’s more realistic to dominated just one and be decent on the other.

I know they came close to winning the title but I don’t think they will ever win while they still play in the WCC. I think there’s something to be said about battling every week in a top conference for a few months. Unlike non/conference when they play a good schedule but only for a few weeks.

They are way too good for that little conference. Deserving of top 5 bc of talent. Not deserving of #1 IMO bc of schedule/resume.
Baylor, Purdue, UCLA, Duke, Auburn, and name the other top team you want to insert all get tested by some good teams throughout the year. I’d like to see Gonzaga have to go to Rutgers on a Tuesday night.
Oh well…. We have to take care of our own business. Illinois and IU are good test this week.

Houston is also going to be one of those teams that just hangs in the top 10 all year. The American is better than the WCC, but maybe not by much. Memphis, Cincinnati, Wichita and Temple are all down. UCF is the next best NET team at 52. If you go pure NET rankings, only Houston makes the tournament.
