It was weird watching Nebraska sag away from our perimeter players. If they had done that in years past, our 3-pt shooters would make them pay and pay. This is the first Purdue team I can recall that does not have a real 3-pt threat. I kept thinking "shoot, shoot!".

I will say that the team did a good job passing the ball and running plays. They looked fairly sharp. We are not as skilled in the post outside of Bays, and our guards don't have a reliable ooutside shot. I had expected Hamby to be a better threat from the outside, and I had expected Moore to be a better contributer. Disappointed in both at this point. Moore is probabaly gone at the end of the year. Hamby will need to really work on her game. She is too short to guard many of the BIG players she is matched with and can't shoot over them either.

We would catch up to Neb only to have them sink a couple 3's each time. We had no counter. We can only score points 2 at a time with htis team. When a Neb kid who hasn't scored a point throws in multiple 3-pt shots, you need a C-Mo, KK, Geralds, Rayburn type shooter to counter it. We don't have that, so we are going to see a relatively pedestrian season this year.

I don't see any strong 3-pt shooters coming in the next cleass either.

Very true and too bad. Don't know if any of next years recruits are 3 pt shooters but in the world of BB, a team has to have a least two who are real threats. Wilson and Morrisette have the rep but are not producing. Perry can develop but not now of course. Hamby is too slow and just can't get open. Occasionally she sets her feet and has time and will hit one.

But last night, our penchant for running at every chance killed us as most of our 12 tos resulted from that style of offense. Seemed we did not do that as much in the second half and we did better, Indeed it looked like we might win this

games when the Huskers hit those two quick 3's and we could not counter. Shot a couple, but we missed. Game over.
Not sure what is going to turn this season around which could be a real disaster when you look at the schedule. Of the 11 games left there does not seem many sure wins. Even Indiana on the road, who we blew out at home, took Minn to the wire on the road. far better than we did at home. Seems it is going to be hard even to make the NIT which I thought was a joke when this season started.

Any more word on Moore?

I would have thought she would leave at the Christmas break.
