I know it's a road game and even considering it's in Ass Hall... Does that line seem a little low? I thought so, and even though I usually refrain from betting when Purdue's involved, I couldn't resist that one.

Not really surprising. Purdue hasn't been that impressive to expect them to go on the road vs a decent team who is playing their Super Bowl and win easily.
What's your prediction?
81-70 for me. Glancing over their schedule.. they haven't played anyone this year with respectable size that I can see. They gave up over 80 pts to our most hated rival.

The Bucket game at -7 was about the surest thing since...hell, I'm not even sure. I just regret not wagering more.
Vegas typically knows. That building is good for a few extra points for the home side. I hope it’s not that close but wouldn’t be surprised.
I'm concerned about this game. Like I said, this is their Super Bowl. They want this so desperately. They need it. To me the range of outcomes is pretty wide. I think we could lose by 10, but we of course have the ability to win by 20. If I have to make a prediction I will say we knock down a couple free throws at the end and just cover the 3.5. 70-66. But this is the biggest game for IU in a long time and I can't discount the environment and their desperation. Woodson will impress upon them how huge it is.
The Bobby Knight return to Ass Hall game was much bigger for them and we pissed right in their homecoming punch.
iu's hillbilly crowd will always be jacked up for Purdue, it's all they have to live for now. But, it'll be an environment a lot of our guys have played in and Painter has coached in. They'll embrace the moment, especially out chippy players like SS and Gillis.
It won't be any different than the environment at IL last weekend.
The line is probably based on a lot of IU fans betting on an upset. I gave the points and pleated it with the over which is what I am most worried about. I think we cover the 3.5 points easily. It may be a dogfight which hold the scoring down but I’m betting on Purdue scoring 80 points or more in a blowout.
In hindsight, isn't every betting line a sure thing (for 50% of the betting population)?
If we play hard and smart, we win comfortably. If we think we can show up and go through the motions, we lose. The mental and emotional aspects are what concern me about this team. We have the physical talent to beat just about anyone.
In hindsight, sure. But sometimes, there's a sure thing like Purdue beating the hell out of iu at home when iu is playing with a severely depleted roster and Purdue's playing to improve bowl standings and get the Bucket back.
If JI can get going early and get a few early/easy buckets, that'll make a huge difference. Him playing confident and him pressing/hunting shots are two very different situations.
I don't think this Indinia team has anywhere near the ability to win by 10. It's a slightly better version of last year's team.
We are 2-1 in true road games this year. Lost by two to Rutgers, won by 7 at Penn State and beat Illinois in 2 OTs. Penn State had the ball and a chance to tie with just over a minute left. Indiana is 11-0 at home, beat Ohio State by 16 and only St Johns has played them close.

I feel as good about winning this game @ IU as......ever? Which means I should probably be worried, lol. The line is probably right for a rivalry game on the road.
I just don't see how an IU team with average to poor guard play beats this team when they are locked in. This Purdue team will 100% be locked in for a road rivalry game and confident after beating a much better ILL team in rowdy environment IMO.
