Ok, this year, we almost won 4 games. If we had won those 4 games, Walters probably would have not been fired..
I see 6 games on that schedule that any half way decent coach should be able to win regardless of the players on his team.
Purdue should never lose to ball st or siu regardless of the coach or talent on the team.
I see possible wins over Minn, nw, Illinois, and Rutgers!

If I was the new coach, I’d be saying the same thing to myself. He probably said to himself that he could get enough talent together to win 6 games and the fans at Purdue would go wild and call him the second coming of Tiller and he’d get his hamburgers at the xxx for free. If he won 6 games and went to a bowl game he could probably eat at Bruno’s for free and receive a contract extension for life.
I’m not saying we’re going to win 6 games. I’m saying we have the potential and there are 6 winnable games on our schedule! We are a long way from that first opening game.
What I’m also saying is I see 6 games that are basically a guaranteed loss.
I believe most fans here would be very happy with 6 wins. We have learned to accept and become happy when we have attained mediocrity. If Painter had a .500 season, we’d say it was a down year. But if we attained a .500 season in football, everyone is excited!
