2025 OL

I’m assuming we will go hard to lock up Gorin, but we NEED more OL recruits. That is the most important position to develop and Odom has said it is a point of emphasis. Ideally we would have 4-5 a year. I guess we do have 5-6 from last years class still but I’d like to see us add a few more to go with Gorin. I don’t see any 2025 OL on UNLV, but there are a handful of other candidates I can see still out there:

Ozzy Pollard, Carmel. Offer from IU and a bunch of MAC

Avery Huggins, Westfield. MAC offers.

Max Parciak, Nappanee. Commited to ball state but didn’t sign

Karson Kinsinger, Lapel. Akron, In St offers

Chance Johnson, Jeffersonville. He has offers from Md and Ky, don’t know why he is rated so low.

Ibrahim Kebe, OH. Mac type offers.

Michael Smith, WI. Offer from Co St and Wazzou.

Anyone know of any others?

POTFHBTFU, that's the problem, not the solution. We have a MAC caliber OL right now. We need Big Ten linemen.

Maybe this will be our future. Instead of recruiting 4 star. QBs, we could start recruiting some 4 star OL. They do exist. Even in Indiana. They just go elsewhere else like Iowa

Not class of ‘25, but ‘26, has a kid from up here at Andrean, Ben Novak, already committed to Wisconsin. He goes 6’5”/330. If Fickel continues to flounder next season, or gets canned, perhaps he could be in play. Was disappointed IU couldn’t close on this guy. As far as I can tell on 24/7, did not have a PU offer yet.

The problem is we didn’t develop them, not the talent. Indiana has MAC caliber players and did well but they went out 2 years ago and hired bostad and kept him to develop their OL. Right now that is all that is available, it’s slim pickings. I’m sure we will get many from the transfer portal as well, but we need to have a young core guys who can be developed.

Show me one good indiana OL on iowas roster. It doesn’t exist. Your narrative is nonsense and based on a couple recruits two coaches ago. We have way better indiana OL recruits than Iowa with hartwig and moussa and Scales and Tonona are talented indiana kids that have ability to develop into good OL. Gorin is a good OL recruit and wants to come. Brohm recruited the he.ll out of OL but he didn’t have the coach to develop them and without the coach it’s tough to recruit. It was not from lack of priority.
