The road to a 26th Big Ten title will not be easy.
you had the easy schedule last year, would have to figure not going to get lucky 2 years in a row. watch for Nebraska to finish in the top 5 next year. The road to a 26th Big Ten title will not be easy.
It's not that bad, play Mich State (who should be really good)just once at home is a break. Purdue should not lose at home. Not playing Maryland twice is good, probably lose there. Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Rutgers are weaker than last year. Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio State should be good games. Purdue should be 15-5 or better, Michigan State and Maryland(If they can win a road game) should challenge!you had the easy schedule last year, would have to figure not going to get lucky 2 years in a row. watch for Nebraska to finish in the top 5 next year.
Maryland should be a good team again. Michigan State will be good too, but I think you are underestimating Rutgers. Rutgers returns everyone except McConnell. They did add Rivals 5* SF Gavin Griffiths and PG (Noah Fernandez) in the transfer portal. It's not that bad, play Mich State (who should be really good)just once at home is a break. if only playing Maryland and Mich st once each, Purdue has about as good as a schedule as you could hope for once again. It's not that bad, play Mich State (who should be really good)just once at home is a break. True, but if Zach returns, Purdue will pretty much be returning a roster that easily won the Big Ten Championship last season. IU, in comparison, returned a lot of talent this past season, but wasn’t coming off a particularly good season the year before. It's hard to say which teams are going to be good and which schedules are toughest right now. I do agree MSU will be among the favorites. I think Purdue will be a contender with or without Zach (my gut says with).
Who can really say, though? Indiana was the clear favorite going into last year but struggled with inconsistency for much of the season. OSU went from the top-25 to 13th place in the B1G in about a month. Who predicted Northwestern would finish in 2nd place?

True, but I'm not sure how much we can extrapolate from last year. Almost half of Purdue's B1G games were against teams that finished in the bottom 5 in the league. Purdue went 11-0 against teams that finished 10th-14th but just 7-5 against teams that finished 2nd-9th (counting B1G tourney).True, but if Zach returns, Purdue will pretty much be returning a roster that easily won the Big Ten Championship last season. That all being said, I expect MSU to be a top 10 and possibly top 5 team next season, making a 3 game spread in the conference standings again highly unlikely.
