Wolegib would be happy, PU appears to be leader for 2 of the 3 top OL in Indiana for 2020 with one (OT Randy Holtz) already getting CB for Purdue. #2 player in the state (OC Gus Hartwig) is the #3 OC in the country and had very good things to say after the OSU visit. The third OL (Josh Fryar) is another OC (3rd overall in state) has a CB for Florida State. I am not sure we really would stand a chance with him, his dad played at IU and he seems to be very supportive of their program.

We also appear to be in good position with 3 star OH OT's Sam Rengert and Trey Leroux who both have very good things to say about their visits at the OSU game.

About 1/4 of our offers right now are to offensive linemen. This is good to see as we are getting out ahead in the class at this position, which has been recruited well but not as successful as the other positions.

This is nice to see that not only are we recruiting offensive linemen, we are recruiting "elite" offensive linemen. they are no longer an afterthought.

the Dallas Cowboys a couple of years ago had a very high draft pick. instead of drafting a QB, they drafted an offensive lineman, and he led them to the play-offs for the first time in a long time.

these guys do make a difference.

We probably have a better shot at Hartwig.

Fryar on FSU, "It would be a tremendous opportunity to come here… I would commit. Coach (Greg) Frey would be a great mentor for me."

I would take Hartwig in hot minute. Fryar as well if he ends up wanting to be a Boiler. Heck, ya never know just how it will play out. Kids are unpredictable and change their minds all of the time.

Here is a short article with a bunch of quotes from 2019, 2020 & 2021 recruits that were at the PU vs. O$U game. Lots of love for Purdue from them. There were some very big recruits at that game. From 2021 the article says we had Yanni Karlaftis, Blake Fisher, and A.J. Kirk at the game. Those are some very good future prospects.

I think fryar will be tough. I think Beach is our starting OC the next three years but hopefully we can get Hartwig who could redshirt, backup, then start 3 more years like Barron and Beach.
