Lunardi has us as...

...a five seed!

Honestly, that's much better than I expected and shows that...well, I'm not sure what it shows. It could mean he thinks the conference will be stronger this year (Michigan is a 4; Minny is a 6), or it could mean he thinks more of Purdue's returnees than others do. I know it's a completely meaningless article, but it's still fun to think about.

Other teams of note: IU is a 10 (about right, IMO, especially if OG goes pro), MSU is a 7 (for the record, I think they'll be better than that), Wisky as an 8, and Northwestern as a 9.

we always find a way to be a 4 or more usually a 5 it seems... wish we could get up to a 3

What jumped out to me was that, in the second round, Purdue would face Southern Methodist -- IN DALLAS! I guess just add that to the list: Memphis State in Memphis, LSU in Baton Rouge, Kansas in Kansas City...

I can't stand it either. We just need to play them and bring them back to earth. The last time we played them, we won 85 to 70. Some players have come and gone since then, but it wasn't really that long ago and the game wasn't even close!
