Grant Weatherford, 6-2, 215, 3* 76
Strengths:
Grant is the epitome of toughness on the basketball court. He is a great football player and has that same football mentality when he steps on the basketball floor. He is often compared to former Boilermaker Chris Kramer but he reminds us more of former Ohio State Buckeye Aaron Craft (just a better shooter and not quite the defender). Grant is a solid shooter that is best in the catch and shoot game.
Weaknesses:
He is not dynamic but is a very solid piece.
Bottom Line:
Grant is a great glue guy and is a player that simply helps your team win.
Ryan Cline, 6-5, 180, 4* 80
Strengths:
When it comes to shooting the basketball, Cline is one of the best in the nation. The rangy wing-type who has excellent length (long arms) and deceptive quickness is also a solid all-around player. His jump shot is a thing of beauty. He is an exceptional shooter off the catch--coming off a pin-down screen or stopping on a dime for the pull-up jump shot. He gets great lift on his shot and he can get off his shot under duress. He can create off the dribble to get his shot off (2-dribble pull-up or step-back) and he knows how to square up for his shot. His ball skills are solid in the open court, he has the ability to finish in transition, and he's a capable passer. His head is always has his head up and his court awareness is high-level.
Weaknesses:
Cline needs to continue to improve his ball handling (dribbles too high), especially while attacking pressure and he needs to get much stronger while finishing through contact.
Bottom Line:
Overall, Cline is one of the better shooters in the country and his upside is impressive as well.
