No wonder teams cheat. Cheating pays off. North Carolina and Syracuse with both respected coaches have been in trouble. I hope a reporter brings it up because Roy Williams and Boeheim both get angry when confronted about it.

BTW watch D. Jackson for Notre Dame. Imagine if D. Jackson had been Purdue's PG this year. You want to dog Painter. Dog him for creating the lack of a PG last year. I hope Carsen Edwards is good. Because Purdue needs a new starting PG.

Jackson wasn't coming to Purdue but yea the Ronnie Johnson mistake haunted us for two years while he was here and limited us two years after he left. Jackson was never going to end up at Purdue (although rumor has it he was set to go to Illinois before Brey offered his AAU buddy Torres to seal the deal) but if we had offered Nic Moore out of high school it would have made things much better even though he wouldn't have been here this season most likely.

The NCAA has to understand the message this sends to the college basketball world. Cheat enough to get an edge and survive the weak penalties. In the end, it's another FF.

I HATE IU but if the Samscum phone use was penalized the way it was and UNC doesn't get buried by the NCAA or it's ghost classes and academic fraud then the little credibility that they have left is gone and the door is wide open for cheating without penalty going forward.

Indeed - both these teams have been scandalized this past year - and yet here they are ready to play a Final Four. Pathetic.
The last article I could find on UNC was from August 2015 when the fraud was confirmed - but the NCAA indicated it would be after the tourney before they could act. Absolutely ridiculous.

I am surprised that so far you have not had one of the sanctimonious Purdue fans come and tell you how proud he is of Purdue's clean record and straight laced recruiting procedures, and high academic standards. Cheat and compete or follow the rules and settle for mediocrity.

In my book, you don't get bonus points for following the rules. I do think people should keep this in mind the next time they want to blast a coach for not landing certain recruiting targets.

I was thinking the same thing. Sampson was a liar and a cheater, but his violations were mild compared with these so-called blue blood programs. We know that Louisville has no shame, but in the past UNC and Syracuse have the reputation of holding to a higher standard.

I just cringe when I see that NCAA add on THEIR priorities...especially the part about academics which they list first! In reality, the NCAA could give a sh#t! The NCAA is a toothless pussycat when it comes to hunting rats like Syracuse and UNC. If you arent cheating you arent winning!
