Dude. He ain't gonna play. He chose to sit the year. There are LITERALLY not enough minutes in a game. 'Could have used his great speed' His top out speed would be 0 mph while sitting on the bench.

Unless he turned into a point guard, I don't see where/when he would play. There's already too many guys at his positions. Edwards, Stephens, Davis, Mathias. Cline ... all these guys need minutes more from what Smotherman has shown in the past.
Basil WAS a point gaurd until he hit a massive growth spurt. Basil could be the most versatile player Purdue has seen in a while, if he can just add a jump shot to his game.
