2 flips from UNLV

So his son was playing high school football in Arkansas while he was coaching in Vegas?

Meese's rating is low but he missed his entire senior season, former IMG kid too. I think he played his sophomore season with Sawyer Anderson in TX. All of his big offers came pre-senior season so we are definitely getting a solid under-the-radar guy.

Seems like a Painter-esque recruit

Probably 03 since we had 3.

Not sure I will ever live to see a trio at Purdue better than Koutivides, Johnson and Gardner. I believe Joe Odom came off the bench for that team as well.
They also had Iwuchukwu as a freshman. Keglar also would have made the rotation but had a high ankle sprain early in the season. Even George Hall from those linebackers had a cup of coffee in the NFL. Talk about a loaded linebacking corps. That whole D was incredibly talented.

Yes, in Fayetteville, where they lived before he took the UNLV job.
Yeah I just thought it was interesting. Most kids move away from their parents when they go to college. His son will be doing the opposite. Not that I expect he will live with them whenever he gets to Purdue.

Quite the offer list for Meese! 7 SEC teams and 14 more P4 teams. But 247 has him a 2* on their own rankings. Missing a year really made him tail off in the rankings it seems.

Yea all 3 NFL guys right there. I think our last great LB was Bentley

2002 team was pretty good on D. Held National Champion Ohio State to 3 points before giving up a game winning TD near the end. It was a long td pass, I was there and can still see it. Final was 10-6. Clarett had like 60 yards rushing.

Talk about pain. When musberger said “they’re gonna put the I back behind the full back here” I just remember thinking “they’re gonna throw it.”

Playing that way against the true powers is something we haven’t sniffed since 2003. Even in 2021 they handled Iowa and Penn state but had no chance against Ohio state. Michigan is another matter because they cheated
