Yes, there is a rather large, obvious, singular difference between this team and the 92-93 and 93-94 squads. But that loss in 1993 gave way to bigger things the following year. Remember, 1993 was a roller coaster. Came into the 92-93 campaign unranked, climbed all the way to #9 in January, only to piss away the next two months, finish barely ranked and get bounced in the first round.

Then came 1994. Barely ranked to start the season, but when we climbed the polls, we hung around, finishing at #3 and exited in the E8 to a Duke team who was going to the F4 for the sixth time in eight seasons. Yes, Big Dog was the catalyst, and no, we don't have anyone on his team who can come anywhere near him.

Silver linings, I guess. Yes, I'm upset about tonight. Yes, I'm concerned about the PG position next year. But hell, who knows what will come of this? Maybe something good? Hopefully this acid burns in their mouth for the next 6 months and they never forget it. I'm excited to see what we can do, even if CMP can't coach his way out of a (mouse) trap.
