I have two sons at Purdue who are home from finals. We got to talking about Purdue sports and their current success in both football and basketball. I made the comment that you are attending Purdue at a fun time. They are experiencing a basketball program that has reached the #1 spot in consecutive years. That is impressive. And, they could do it again next year.
Me, I attended Purdue back in the days when tickets were part of the tuition and students threw marshmallows throughout the student section as the on-field product was not that enjoyable. When kids opted NOT to go to Mackey to cheer on the team. Now, you have a West Division winning football team, a #1 MBB team, and a not too shabby women's volleyball team.
All that to say, what a great time to be a Boilermaker!!
