As I have said in the past, I have always kept an eye on 1,000 point scorers for Purdue. Not so much in trying equate it with team success, but as a measure of personal accomplishment. It also correlates very well with who we all hold in High regard as past Boilermakers.
Vincent Edwards made the 1,000 point club a few games ago.
Haas could join the club as early as Sunday
Swanigan has a chance to get there by closing the season strong. Would need to play in the Championship game of the BTT and make it to the second round of the NCAA. Would need to average about 20 a game.
Next up- Dakota should be joining the club next January. Followed by CE in the non conference the following year. Cline also has a chance but his scoring numbers will need to increase and I think they will.
That is quite a collection of 1,000 point scorers and potential 1,000 point scorers, all playing together right now. Does it equal team success, we will see. It cannot hurt.
