    That is a very conservative safe view and makes sense as those are the.players we know. But because of it's size and reported talent level, imo if a member or members of this large freshman class don't start it will surprise me....whether it's @ year's start or year's end. If 1-2 don't I...

    I am excited to see what CH can do when he will be counted on. The 2 big plays forecasted his ability, but still only 4 pts. I am more excited how he and the other starters can work together so the team gets to an 85+ average.

    Agree in general framework with most of this. But with so many frosh we know little about in terms of how quickly they acclimate. 1-2 of them might be a big surprise and take major minutes. Going to be fun as they get to campus and reports start to materialize.

    I would add Smith to the surprise category for me. Knew he would be good.....that was easy. But had no idea he would be on the verge of All-American good. A great surprise!

    Agree. Unless he ups his game, I see Furst as a nice role guy off the bench. 0-10 minutes per game depending on match ups. If he is a starter, that means talent and scoring problems for next year's team... Rebounding prob. OK. But trending toward bench for the reasons you say.

    Agree. I am thinking we might have the horses next year. Only question is their experience and defensive readiness....to go along with Smith who is a freaking stud and key to the whole deal. So might be 2 years away.

    True enough especially in this sad NIL environment.. But as long as we keep Smith as a centerpiece building block for next year we should hopefully still be fine. He just will elevate everyone, and will be essential as we integrate the new frosh imo.

    Still sounds like he absolutely loves it here & his team & is leading Purdue again next year to fight for another B10 championship.
