Any Purdue fans hedging today?

IU at +145 seems like the perfect hedge. How much is a Purdue win in Bloomington worth to you? Bet it on the IU money line.

If you win, congrats! You bought a Purdue win.
If you lose, congrats! You have more money than you started with, and you can buy more alcohol and celebrate the string of success Purdue has had over the past half decade, and will continue to have after this blip in the road.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Anyone hedging?

Our big's

So Monday we played against probably the strongest big man in the Big Ten Cockburn. Our centers especially Zach dominated him.Tonight we play against TJD who is more of a finesse player and our bigs are playing 15-20 feet from the basket.Anyone else notice that. Why would we do that?Is that something Painter wanted them doing? I mean if Zach could get position down low against Cockburn he sure the hell should have been able to post TJD up.SMFH

Illini Game Focused IU Game Not Focused

As several have said we played better earlier in the season against UNC and UV
The guys looked fatigued at times Williams play and Edey at the foul line then you throw in Hunter, Newman and Thompson. The B1G schedule is tough w two games per week and half on the road so Painter has to figure how to get these guys up for every game. Can’t play half ass like tonight and win. Our losses to opponents who have one player step up and play their ass off to beat us. We need our bench guys to step up and have some big games. But lastly keep making 70% off foul shots and we win . It sucks but go have a beer and relax. NW is waiting at Mackey for us. AtlantaJim

Let’s talk about depth

We started the year with our depth being an incredible strength, too many guys to play in the rotation so have to redshirt TKR. Hockey line changes. Our B team is just as good as our A. Look at it now. We are basically down to 5 guys who are likely to score more than 1 basket in a given game: Ivey, Edey, Tre, Sasha, and Gillis. IT can make the occasional open 3. That leaves Hunter, Furst, Newman, and Morton that are essentially zero threat to score a field goal playing in our rotation. It’s just incredible how far that’s fallen since early in the year.

Painter controls this team

And they have become horrible team compared to the one that started the year. The players are to blame for their part in all this, obviously, but who would’ve guessed they would struggle as much as they have since losing to Rutgers?

no way should we be struggling this much.

what were we doing well early this season? What’s changed? And why?

Tough to be angry

I usually get all pissed off after a loss. Tonight not so much, Purdue played terrible and deserved to lose. That was the worst game in Williams career, he missed easy shots, fumbled rebounds etc. Also, Free Throw shooting was pathetic, Edey needs to get better, down the road it will be the teams downfall in the tournament. Did Purdue get any points out of Newman and Hunter? Both were close to being double digit scorers last year, this year they’ve both been for the lack of a better word bad, going forward those two need to step up or I don’t see much more than a sweet 16 run.

Coaching attire

Watching the Kentucky vs Texas Tech game and noticed Cal and Buzz and their staffs are wearing suits tonight. I can’t remember the last time I saw CMP coaching in a suit. I was wondering this the other day too if the Big Ten coaches all got together and agreed to just coach in quarter zips and sweatshirts this year? Does the conference set a dress code? Just curious. Random thoughts for a Wednesday night.
