New Offense?

I'm going off Gus Hartwig's comment that this is the best line he's been around since he's been at Purdue .

So I don't think we'll see a new offense, but I think we'll see - "freedom" - I wonder if the previous OC kept the QB limited to to limit mistakes - I don't know, but Card seemed very conservative. It's a nothing to lose situation now - on offense and defense.

What do you expect?

Lebron Hill flips from Louisville to Purdue

🚨🚨FLIP ALERT: 2025 three-star WR Lebron Hill has flipped his commitment from Louisville to Purdue. He becomes the first receiver in the class for the Boilers.

I find the vitriol on Walters a little odd

For a lot of reasons. I get not thinking he’s good. I always wanted him to do well for taking a job that became much worse of a job as NIL was ramping up. Thought of him as a guy who took the call when other better candidates likely never answered or laughed.

The thing that’s odd to me is that other than late hazell, I don’t remember there being this much vitriol in 26 years of following this team. Not even …

When Danny hope needed Ricardo Allen to block a field goal to save Purdue from overtime against 2-10 middle Tennessee state before losing to 4-8 rice the next week, not close.

Here’s why it’s odd as well. Here are some winning percentages excluding our big winners and hazell (who belongs in a class with Harrell and Bobby Diaco).

Akers 28.4
Walters 33.3
Coletto 34.1
Burtnett 38.4

And that’s with way way way tougher scheduling than say Danny Hope had to deal with.

Maybe some of you older guys can weigh in here. I asked a couple of Purdue fans if there was this much anger in years 2 of Akers and Coletto and the answer I got was… no. By the end maybe, but not 16 games in.

When revenue sharing starts I think the Purdue job will be more attractive. If that hasn’t happened this offseason and Walters is already fired, I think people are going to be surprised by who is actually interested. I don’t think we get 1997 Joe tiller or 2017 Jeff brohm

One Really Violent Day

If you’re not sure if Trump wants to be a lunatic strongman dictator? He does.

Listen to his exact words from today, talking about how police should address retail theft:

“They have to be taught. Now, if you had one really violent day… It’s so bad. One rough hour, and I mean real rough. The word will get out and it will end immediately. End immediately. You know? It will end immediately.”

Purdue football Jahmal Edrine questionable against Wisconsin

Purdue Availability Report: Jahmal Edrine and Mo Omonode listed as questionable against Wisconsin.

CJ Madden, CJ Smith, George Burhenn and Antonio Stevens among those sidelined.

Hopefully The New OC, Will Come Up With Something New For The Offense!

It is my contention that football coaches overall suffer from what I call Tradition Paralysis! At Purdue it has usually been 2 line plunges for little or no gain and then an incomplete pass!
Perhaps it is time that someone thinks outside "the coaching box"! Someone asked Bud Wilkinson the changes he made that started Oklahoma on their 47 game winning streak! He said he only made one change - he increased the offensive line splits 50%! Now that's thinking outside "the coaching box"!

Purdue football Three Burning Questions for Purdue vs. Wisconsin

Three Burning Questions for #Purdue football ahead of its matchup with Wisconsin in Madison.

❓ What will the offense look like?
4️⃣ Can defense finish game strong?
🦡 Will Purdue finally knock off the Badgers?

Flooded Areas ....Prayers Support Samaritans Purse & Red Cross to Help

This hurricane flooding is devastating. Thanks to Samaritan's Purse & the Red Cross for what they do for hurting folks. They are experts at what they do and are effective. Please pray & donate if you can to these great, effective organizations.

But as usual our federal Govt can do absolutely nothing well & FEMA is no exception to a cluster disaster of an organization that federal government is. For example...

FEMA's strategic plan goals .....
#1 Instill equity as a foundation of emergency management.
#2 Lead Whole of Community in Climate Resilience.
#3 Promote & Sustain a Ready FEMA & Prepared Nation.

How many here think it matters to the effected if their water is handed to them by a diverse group of volunteers?

Or if the bridge gets repaired 1 year later, but by a minority owned business because not enough of them were located by FEMA.

Or if they deliver needed power via diesel & gas generators or try solar in forested mountains of NC?

How about first & foremost we help people regardless of DEI & climate scams? Get the job done.

After all this is the same DEI interjected into building electric power charging station that has only got 8 EV stations built after $7.5 billion allocated because of DEI slow downs.

The focus is wrong.
The leadership is wrong.
The implementation is wrong.

Opponents losses in game before playing Purdue

Bored and with little else to do, I've made an observation. Every team we've played this year has had a loss immediately preceding the Purdue game, including this week's Wisconsin game and the following week's Illinois game.. This is likely to continue most of the rest of the season. If it does, Ohio State will beat Oregon, Wisconsin will beat Northwestern, Penn State will beat Ohio State, Washington will beat Penn State, Illinois will beat Michigan State, and Ohio State will beat Indiana. The Washington Penn State is the least likely to happen. Kind of interesting that we could play every team this season that had an immediate loss in their preceding game. Has this been an added incentive for them to win? I'm sure that it has.
