The goal of man coverage…was to cover your man but this defense seems game to define it some other way.

Also curious as to how a Free Safety playing 30 yards off the line of scrimmage is going to help any of those guys forced to play man coverage every down cover anybody.

I guess he’s there to take bad angles on guys we forget to cover?

He’s there to make the most tackles for your team which makes him look like a superstar. Unfortunately that means the rest of your defense is getting beat. These “freshman of the week” honors are not honors for the rest of the defense.
