Go on the IU board, go on the UK board and both fanbases are screaming for a change.

First, we know Painter isn't going anywhere unless it's his idea...one of the top five coaches in the NCAA. That said, Cal's tourney results in it's entirety sucks over the last few seasons, but.....UK has four five's and two four's coming in next year. Friggin' loaded. Do you think he's been as big a failure as you believe Matt has?

What about Woody at IU? Takes a team constantly in the chitter and puts them twice in the field in three seasons but yet, those Pabst drinkers down south think he should be gone.


Who you gonna' fire first....Matt?

You gonna fire Cal with that talent coming in?

You going to fire Woody?

Is the promise of a pro career to UK or to IU is the best way? Or is Matt's system of you earn what you get better?

I guess it depends on how you measure success, both to the coach and administration.
You also have to take recency bias out of the equation, which is hard to do.

But, Coach Cal has 4 FF at UK in the last 13 years, (one every 3.25 years) as well as one at UMass and one at Memphis. So, he's not a good comparison to Painter's zero.
Woody has been there what, 3 years? Not much opinion on him yet. But, he does have a 3-3 record vs PU.

As for how the admin measures success; I'd say is first, how the program does financially. Are the donors happy, buying tickets, etc.
Where is March success on the admins priority list or are they happy with $ and relatively few scandals/headaches?
