obviously, the Athletic Department has the challenge of getting butts in seats, generating real revenue and scheduling good/competitive/interesting teams. What would you think of scheduling our Non-Conference against other "Black and Gold" teams?
-Vanderbilt
- Army
- Colorado

The series can be promoted across all the schools/Conferences, gets Purdue/them exposure to other markets and would make it interesting for fans (????).

Jus trying to think outside the box a bit and maybe create a little press, interest, etc for schools that could use it.

Thoughts?

I'd like to see us play Mizzou. If IU can beat them in Columbia we should be able to compete. Good cross-conference exposure and another gold and black school.

Purdue is playing Missouri. I have a copy of the contract. Teams will play in 2017 and 2018.

We would have 4 non-conference games to play, correct? Sure, let's add Mizzou to the list for the Gold and Black series!!!

Thread full of fails.

Vandy is in the FBS

Purdue has already inked a home and home with Mizzou

Great we have Mizzou . . . Now we can work on relationships with the other 3. Recognizing many of the non-conference scheduling goes out a good 5 years in advance, we are looking at something after 2020. Getting 2 SEC teams, a Pac12 team and a solid Army team which we can play up to supporting our military . . . Might bring attendance up.

The concept here is until we can get really talent competitive, which in theory says more fans come back, let's at least schedule interesting teams or formats which might intrigue fans enough to come back.

Need to have 7 home games a year. Also, 9 game big ten slate will mess with this. Get ready for a lot of Mac/cusa schools
