Tennessee wide receiver Nate Johnson was offered by Purdue yesterday after a satellite camp appearance during which he ran a 4.47. It's his biggest offer and Johnson said he wants to decide within the next week, an obvious nod toward Purdue, it would seem. He has not yet talked to Darrell Hazell, he said, so I can't say for 100-percent certain he is a take right now, but I don't know why Purdue would offer him, then not accept him right now.

I am only guessing here, but I wonder if this isn't now an either/or situation with Johnson and Jack Wegher, who is also being recruited for slot receiver.

We'll see what happens here, the wide receiver dominoes stand to fall just as quickly as the secondary ones did. Remember, Terrance Landers pops on Saturday.
